Jarrod’s biggest struggle when answering the question “What Do You Do” is trying to clarify the assumptions people make about his industry while avoiding the desire to over-explain using jargon and inside language.
The desire to over-explain is something we all struggle with; however, if you begin your answer with a problem that anyone can understand, it opens a story loop in the mind of your audience they will be compelled to let you lead them to clarity.
Jarrod and I will do this and give him more opportunities for business by creating a clear and memorable One-Liner.
