Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Website Development & Support Specialist to join our team in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with WordPress development, complemented by a strong foundation in technical support knowledge. This dynamic role requires a blend of creativity, problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers, utilizing provided files and documents to build and update web pages.
  • Build, update, and convert responsive web pages that adhere to ADA accessibility best practices.
  • Develop complex Gravity Forms with conditional logic, dynamic population links, and captcha/Turnstile integrations.
  • Write custom CSS to achieve specific design elements, leveraging Chrome Dev Tools for precise targeting.
  • Optimize website content by writing alt text and meta descriptions, and performing basic photo editing (cropping).
  • Perform initial assessment and troubleshooting of broken plugins, update requests, and other website-related issues.
  • Provide support and clear responses for client inquiries and issues on tickets assigned by the Customer Support Lead.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolution for assigned support tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Proactively manage and follow up on assigned support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Support Lead to create work order invoices and estimates for client projects and services.
  • Generate GA4 reports, reset passwords, provide DNS information, and flush website caches.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into understandable terms for clients.
  • Comfortable with page development and content updates within WordPress.
  • Working knowledge of plugin management, caching strategies, and website backups.
  • Familiarity with Web Accessibility and ADA best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical support specifically related to websites or general IT.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to assigned tickets and internal team members.
  • Proficiency in generating reports from GA4 and organizing Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • A True North moral compass and an uncompromising standard of data security and confidentiality.

Would Like to Haves:

  • Extensive experience with WordPress development, including setting up sites from scratch according to design styles.
    (We will provide training on our style of this.)
  • Ability to read and write HTML & CSS proficiently.
  • Advanced knowledge of building and managing Gravity Forms.
  • An eye for design and color.
  • Experience with Toolset and Custom Post Types.
  • A strong proficiency in Google Workspace and a deep understanding of its various applications and tools.
  • Experience with cPanel and PHP editing.
  • Familiarity with WordPress themes like Kadence, Enfold, Divi, or TagDiv Newspaper, or a willingness to quickly learn.
